Studio Small is a Los Angeles–based interior design studio focused on material-driven spaces and thoughtful renovation.

And by “we,” I mean me - Lauren Small. Hey!

After nearly a decade executive producing high profile commercial and music video projects, I realized I was most passionate about designing the environments we worked in. With three office renovations under my belt, I knew it was time to step away from production and pursue my passion for interior design full time… and Studio Small was born.

My approach is grounded in the belief that design should feel both intentional and approachable. I’m drawn to spaces that balance clarity with warmth - environments that not only look considered, but feel lived in.

I believe the spaces we inhabit reflect our inner world and shape how we move through our lives. At the same time, the process doesn’t have to be pretentious - it should be collaborative, creative, and genuinely enjoyable.

Studio Small works across a range of projects, from full home renovations to commercial spaces and smaller interior updates. No project too big or too small (see what I did there?).

Each project is approached with the same level of care, attention to detail, and curiosity.
